Oyibode Begins Construction of New Executive Chairman’s Office With Exco Chamber.
In a significant move to enhance governance and fulfill campaign promises, the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun (Hon.) Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode JP FCIA, spearheaded the groundbreaking ceremony for the Construction of the Executive Chairman’s Office with Exco Chamber on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the Udu Local Government Council premises in Otor-Udu, Delta State.
The new facility, according to the architectural design presented by Mrs. Victoria Notoma, includes: a reception hall, executive exco chamber, media office, personal assistant’s office, secretary’s office, the Executive Chairman’s office, and a private inner office. The materials required up to the
roofing level are already on site, a testament to Oyibode’s commitment to transparency and swift execution.
Oyibode emphasized the importance of this project in modernizing the council’s facilities, enhancing administrative efficiency, and fulfilling promises made during his campaign. The ceremony reached its peak with the official blessing of the foundation by Rev. Chuks Uneke, founder of Jesus Awesome Assembly, before the groundbreaking commenced.
Dignitaries in attendance included Hon. Dr. Henry Sakpra, Chairman of the Delta State Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency; Rt. Hon. Henry Apunu, Leader of Udu Legislative Arm; Hon. Andrew Ekwetafia Gbise, Udu SLG; Mrs. Abies Oyibode, wife of the Udu Council Chairman; and other prominent figures like Hon. Justice Iyasere, Hon. Henry Eterhi, and Comrade Omoko Vincent.
The project marks a significant development in Udu’s governance infrastructure, showcasing Oyibode’s vision for inclusive governance and development. Staff and invited guests lauded Oyibode’s developmental cum foresight.
