Oyibode Swears In Newly Appointed Supervisors.

Udu, Delta State – August 7, 2024

The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun (Hon) Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP FCIA, officially swore in newly appointed Supervisors screened by the Udu Legislative Arm today.

During the swearing-in ceremony, Olorogun Oyibode charged the newly appointed Supervisors to be exemplary ambassadors of his administration and emphasized the importance of teamwork. He urged them to work diligently and swiftly to justify the confidence placed in them, not only through their conduct but also through their performance in their respective positions.

“You are expected to be close to the people at the grassroots and bring in new ideas and innovations that will help transform the Council Area to an enviable height,” Oyibode stated. He also stressed the need to follow due process in executing government programs, policies, and projects, advising the Supervisors to consult and collaborate with department heads.

Reflecting on his commitment during the electioneering campaign, Oyibode reiterated his promise to implement the MORE Agenda of His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, in the Udu Council Area. He vowed to improve the socio-economic well-being of Udu people by running an inclusive government that transcends political lines. His administration will prioritize a clean environment, accountability, transparency, and will welcome constructive criticism and useful ideas that contribute to good governance in Udu.

Oyibode also expressed gratitude to the people of Udu for maintaining peace and rejecting violence during the ongoing “End Hunger” protest, attributing this to the successful stakeholders’ meetings he convened.

The newly sworn-in Supervisors include:

1. Omoko Vincent Oghenevwegba (Supervisor for Finance)
2. Mr. Opuama Emmanuel Obruche (Supervisor for Youths, Sports, and Women Affairs)
3. Evangelist Dokie Andrew (Supervisor for Works)
4. Hon. Freeborn Shalokpe (Supervisor for Environment)
5. Mrs. Yarhere Eseoghene (Supervisor for Agriculture)

The ceremony was attended by notable figures including Udu PDP Chairman, Rt. Hon David Siloko, Hon. Dr. Henry Afure Sakpra, Hon. Chief Andrew Orugbo, Hon. Patrick Ariole, Hon.
