Ukodhiko Assures Delta South APC of Massive Isoko Votes in 2027

The member representing Isoko North and South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Pst. Jonathan Ukodhiko, has assured the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership in Delta South Senatorial District of massive votes from Isoko in the 2027 general elections.

Ukodhiko gave the assurance when the Delta South APC Senatorial District Chairman, Chief Emma Amgbaduba, led members of his team and chairmen of the party in the eight Local Government Areas of the senatorial district on a courtesy visit to the lawmaker at his country home in Erawha-Owhe, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The visit provided an opportunity for the party leadership to congratulate Ukodhiko on his emergence as the APC candidate for the Isoko North and South Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election, while also urging him to extend a hand of fellowship to other aspirants who contested the primary election.

Amgbaduba stressed that reconciliation, unity and collective mobilisation were essential to positioning the party for victory in the forthcoming general election.

He urged Ukodhiko to put the differences arising from the primary behind him and immediately commence efforts to unite all stakeholders around the party’s 2027 agenda.

“First, I have come to congratulate you on your victory at the primary election and to appeal to you that everything that happened during the primary should now be put behind us. It is time for us to begin working together as one family,” Amgbaduba said.

The Delta South APC chairman also charged the federal constituency candidate to strengthen the party’s structures across Isoko North and South and ensure that women and youths were given meaningful roles in the campaign.

“We want to encourage you to unite the party in your constituency, reach out to all those who contested against you, put structures in place and ensure that the women and youths are integrated into your campaign structures,” he added.

Responding, Ukodhiko expressed appreciation to the Delta South APC leadership and the eight LGA chairmen for the visit, saying he had already commenced consultations and reconciliation efforts with some of the aspirants who contested against him.

The lawmaker said his immediate priority was to promote peace, reconciliation and unity within the party, stressing that a united APC would be better positioned to secure victory at the polls.

Ukodhiko attributed the political stability being enjoyed in Isoko to the willingness of political leaders and stakeholders to work together despite their differences.

According to him, all party members must be prepared to subordinate personal interests to the collective interest of the party and the development of Isoko.

“The Governor is our leader and also our son-in-law. Therefore, irrespective of how anyone may feel about the outcome of the primary, we must all come together to give him, the President and our party, the APC, the support they need. By the grace of God, Isoko will bring the votes,” he said.

The federal lawmaker further promised to collaborate with the Senator representing Delta South and APC candidates contesting the Delta State House of Assembly seats in Isoko North and South to ensure a coordinated campaign strategy and unified message throughout the constituency.

He maintained that there was no room for bitterness following the conclusion of the primary election, declaring that the task of building a strong and victorious APC was greater than individual political ambitions.

“I don’t believe in politics of bitterness,” Ukodhiko said, calling on APC members across the constituency to embrace reconciliation, unity and effective grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
