Patani RHA Coordinator Asiuwhu Welcomes Funkekeme, Pledges Stronger Support for Renewed Hope, MORE Agenda

The Delta State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), Rt. Hon. Solomon Funkekeme, on Tuesday 11th of August, 2026, led a state delegation to Patani Local Government Area of Delta State as part of the organization’s statewide grassroots sensitization campaign aimed at promoting the achievements and policies of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The sensitization programme, held at the Conference Hall of Capo Hotel Patani Town attracted 99 units coordinators and Units canvassers, ward coordinators, APC LGA Executives, wards party executives, party leaders, stakeholders, women groups , youth representatives, members of the Patani Local Government Council Legislative Arm, Supervisory Councillors and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria Union of Teachers, NULGE, NURTW, Market Women, Party Flagbearers ETC.

Welcoming the delegation, the Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Patani Local Government Area of Delta State who also doubles as the Delta State Taskforce Coordinator on Environment
Olorogun Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu Jp, described the visit as a reaffirmation of the organization’s commitment to deepening grassroots awareness of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Asiuwhu said sustainable national development begins with an informed, united and mobilized grassroots, adding that the presence of the state leadership underscored its commitment to strengthening the organization’s structure across Delta State.

He noted that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors serves as a bridge between government and the people by promoting government policies, communicating achievements, encouraging civic participation and inspiring confidence in democratic governance.

According to him, members must be ambassadors not only in name but also in character, discipline, service and dedication to their communities.

He commended the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, noting that the Renewed Hope Agenda and the MORE Agenda compliment each other in driving sustainable development and improving the lives of Nigerians.

Asiuwhu urged members to remain united, focused and committed to educating the people, countering misinformation, promoting peaceful political participation and strengthening public confidence in democracy.

He expressed appreciation to Rt. Hon. Funkekeme and the state delegation for visiting Patani, assuring them that the local government chapter would remain a dependable pillar of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Delta State.

The Patani Coordinator also acknowledged the support of the APC leader in the local government as well as the Executive Chairman of Patani Local Government and other Leaders for their support thus far.

Besides, he called on the government to look into the Adobu to Abari Road. Emphasising that, it tops the priority interest of the people Patani LGA, because it tranverse and or connects the entire communities making up the Local government area.

In a response speech address, the Delta State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Rt. Hon. Solomon Funkekeme, said the sensitization programme was designed to educate Nigerians on the reforms and achievements of the Tinubu administration.

According to him, the Renewed Hope Agenda was introduced at a time when the nation was grappling with significant economic and governance challenges, including fuel scarcity, long queues at filling stations, exchange rate instability, salary backlogs and recurring industrial actions in the education sector.

Funkekeme said one of the major achievements of the Federal Government was the stabilization of the nation’s education sector, noting that universities have witnessed sustained academic activities without prolonged strikes by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

He also highlighted the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), describing it as a landmark intervention that provides eligible students with tuition support and upkeep allowances, thereby easing the financial burden on parents and expanding access to higher education.

Speaking further, he defended the removal of fuel subsidy, stating that the policy had increased revenue available to states and local governments, enabling many subnational governments to pay workers’ salaries promptly and execute more developmental projects.

Funkekeme maintained that President Tinubu’s reforms were laying the foundation for long-term national growth. He urged members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to continue engaging communities, explaining government policies and mobilizing grassroots support for the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The well-attended programme brought together party leaders, chieftains, elected and appointed public office holders, ward executives, representatives of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Muslim leaders, youths, women leaders and other grassroots mobilisers.
