Mayor of Udu, Tako Daniel, Donates Branded Vests to UDU TV Media Crew
By Henry Ubus
Comrade Tako O. Daniel, popularly known as the “Mayor of Udu,” has donated branded vests to the media crew of UDU TV, describing the gesture as a modest contribution towards strengthening community-based journalism and promoting the positive image of Udu Kingdom.
The branded vests, which were presented to the UDU TV team on Thursday, August 6, 2026, were immediately deployed by members of the media crew during their official assignments, giving the team a more distinctive and professional appearance while covering events across the community.
The gesture has been described by the management of UDU TV as a significant boost to the station’s operations, particularly in the areas of field reporting, public visibility and professional identity.
In a statement, the management of UDU TV expressed profound appreciation to Comrade Tako Daniel for identifying with the organisation’s vision and for demonstrating support for its efforts to promote the rich culture, development and positive image of Udu Kingdom through responsible and credible journalism.
According to the management, the donation underscores Daniel’s commitment to supporting grassroots media organisations and encouraging the dissemination of credible information that can contribute to community development.
The organisation further noted that the branded vests would enhance the identity of its media crew during field operations, making them easily recognisable by members of the public, event organisers and stakeholders whenever they are deployed for official assignments.
The management described the gesture as a commendable demonstration of community spirit and an indication of the importance of partnerships between individuals and local media organisations in advancing development at the grassroots.
UDU TV also prayed for God’s continued blessings, wisdom and prosperity upon Comrade Tako O. Daniel, while expressing the hope that his gesture would inspire other well-meaning individuals, corporate organisations and stakeholders to support initiatives geared towards strengthening community media and advancing sustainable development in Udu Kingdom.
The management reaffirmed its commitment to responsible journalism and pledged to continue using its platform to showcase the cultural heritage, developmental strides, personalities and positive stories emerging from Udu Kingdom.
The donation, it said, would further motivate members of the UDU TV media crew to discharge their responsibilities with greater professionalism, dedication and commitment.
