The Ighene Urhobo Development Forum (IUDF) held a decisive mid-year physical meeting on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Ben Vindo Hotel on the Osubi-Eku Road.
The gathering, themed “Unity, Synergy, and Service for Urhobo Nation,” drew a massive turnout from across Delta Central, signaling a renewed determination among the Urhobo people to assert their political and developmental influence.
Described by organizers as a “gathering of destiny,” the event was marked by high energy and a clear strategic vision. The atmosphere, according to attendees, was electric, with a full house of elders, chiefs, youths, and comrades consolidating the forum’s expanding grassroots presence.
The meeting focused on three critical pillars, unity Synergy and Service to Urhobo nation; as leaders called for an end to internal fragmentation with the Urhobo people, urging all Urhobo sons and daughters to prioritize the collective interest of the kingdom over personal or political ambitions.
While resolving to strengthen collaboration across all 10 Local Government Areas represented, including Ughelli North, Ughelli South, Okpe, Uvwie, Sapele, Ethiope East, Ethiope West, Udu and Warri South; IUDF reaffirmed their commitment to drive community development projects and ensure the Urhobo nation is not sidelined in state and national affairs.
The physical attendance, which included representatives from nearly every Urhobo LGA, was highlighted as a major milestone. The meeting was led and anchored by the top echelon of the IUDF, including: Amb. Rev Dr Felix Godwin Ekpokpobe, National Coordinator, Amb. Comr. Chief Dennis Eneberi, State Chairman.
