PRP Stalwart Defects to APC In Delta, Cites Tinubu, Oborevwori’s Performances.
A prominent member and former House of Assemby candidate of the People Redemption Party (PRP) in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. Blessing Omojevwe Alumeri, has announced her decision to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC), citing confidence in the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
Speaking to her supporters, Alumeri explained that her decision was driven by what she described as the progressive nature of the APC and the reform-oriented vision of President Tinubu. She commended the removal of fuel subsidy, noting that it has contributed to improvements in the economy, including a reduction in food prices and a stronger naira.
She further praised Governor Oborevwori for what she termed significant infrastructural development across Delta State, stressing that he deserves support for a second term to consolidate on ongoing projects.
Alumeri also revealed that several of her political associates are contesting for elective positions under the APC, adding that her move would enable her to actively support their ambitions from within the party.
Appealing to her followers to join her in the defection, she assured them that the decision would yield collective benefits, emphasizing the need for unity within the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
