Oyibode Preaches Unity, Renewed Faith in Easter Message to Udu People
The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun (Hon.) Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP, FCIA, has extended warm Easter greetings to the good people of Udu Kingdom, calling on them to embrace the virtues of love, sacrifice, unity, and hope as exemplified by the season.
In his Easter message made available to newsmen, the Udu Council Chairman described Easter as a sacred period that symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness, hope over despair, and life over death, stressing that the celebration remains a powerful reminder of the rewards of faith, perseverance, and selflessness.
Oyibode noted that the season offers an opportunity for sober reflection and renewal of commitment to peaceful coexistence and community development. He urged residents of Udu to continue to live in harmony and work collectively towards the growth and progress of the area.
Quoting philosophical reflections on the significance of Easter, the Chairman stated that “out of suffering emerge the strongest souls,” emphasizing that challenges are pathways to strength and transformation. He added that Easter stands as proof that hope never dies and that every setback presents an opportunity for a new beginning.
He also drew inspiration from the Holy Scriptures, citing Matthew 28:6, which proclaims the resurrection of Jesus Christ, John 11:25, where Christ affirms Himself as the resurrection and the life, and 1 Peter 1:3, which speaks of a living hope through His resurrection.
The Council Boss prayed that the blessings of Easter would bring renewed strength, divine favour, and lasting peace to every family in Udu Kingdom.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering good governance and improving the welfare of the people, urging citizens to remain supportive and law-abiding.
