Oyibode Hails Entertainers As Catalysts For Societal Development.

The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun(Hon.), Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, JP FCIA has underscored the critical role entertainers play in societal development, noting that their contributions extend far beyond mere amusement to fostering unity, cultural identity, and social cohesion.

Oyibode made this assertion when members of the Entertainment Creatives & Creators Association of Delta State (DELCCOHMAS) paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Otor-Udu.

The Council Chairman commended entertainers for their invaluable role in bringing joy and relief to people, particularly during challenging times. He emphasized that through music, comedy, drama, and other creative expressions, entertainers help shape public opinion, promote peace, and contribute significantly to the socio-economic growth of society.

“Entertainment is a powerful tool for social change and development. Your ability to inspire, educate, and unite people cannot be overemphasized,” Oyibode stated. He further assured the association of his administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment where creative talents can thrive in Udu.

Earlier in his remarks, the President of the association, MC O’ Stainless, expressed appreciation to the Council Chairman for the warm reception accorded the delegation. He highlighted the group’s readiness to collaborate with the Udu Local Government Council in promoting creativity and harnessing the potential of youths in the area.

O’ Stainless further assured that the association would work in synergy with the council to drive initiatives aimed at empowering entertainers and contributing meaningfully to community development.
