Ukodhiko Dismisses Thuggery Allegations, Hails Orderly APC Congress in Isoko

The Member representing Isoko North and Isoko South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko, has commended party faithful for the peaceful conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ward congresses across Isoko North and South.

In a statement issued by his Media Office on Wednesday, the federal lawmaker dismissed allegations of thuggery in Otor-Owhe Ward 6, as reported by an online platform, describing the claims as a figment of imagination, false, and politically motivated.

Ukodhiko firmly denied any form of violence in any part of Isoko, let alone his involvement in any alleged incident.

He stressed that he is not from Otor-Owhe Ward and had no reason to interfere in the ward’s congress.

Reacting to the report, the lawmaker said that as a man known for peace, he could not have been involved in any violent act, noting that such behaviour is completely against his character and principles.

According to him, some political detractors and unpopular politicians resorted to making unfounded allegations after losing out in their ward congress.

He advised those who were unsuccessful to accept the outcome in good faith and join hands with the winners to build a stronger and more united party.

Ukodhiko further alleged that those peddling the claims were desperate individuals who attempted to undermine the peaceful conduct of the exercise by spreading fake news of thuggery in a bid to discredit what he described as a largely successful and orderly process across Isoko Nation.

He noted that the ward congresses were widely commended by party members and stakeholders, attributing the peaceful atmosphere to purposeful leadership and the maturity of party faithful.

The lawmaker expressed satisfaction with the overall conduct of the congresses, describing them as peaceful, transparent, and well-coordinated.

He lauded party members for their discipline and commitment to internal democracy, stating that the successful exercise reflected the unity and strength of the APC in Isoko North and South Federal Constituency.

Ukodhiko congratulated the newly elected ward officials and assured them of his readiness to work harmoniously with them to reposition and further strengthen the party at the grassroots.

He also reaffirmed his commitment to mobilising support for the APC ahead of the 2027 General Elections, expressing confidence that the party would secure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and all APC candidates in the polls.
