Oyibode Appointed Special Adviser on Political Affairs to Urhobo Progress Union Worldwide.
The Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode JP, FCIA, has been appointed as the Special Adviser on Political Affairs to the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Worldwide, as a result of his proven political acumen, sagacity, and unifying leadership spirit.
The appointment was conveyed in an official letter dated December 17, 2025. The letter, issued on behalf of the Urhobo Progress Union Worldwide, stated that the appointment takes immediate effect.
According to the letter, the Udu Council Boss, Oyibode is expected, in his new capacity, to interface with all political associations on behalf of the Urhobo Progress Union, Worldwide, with a view to strengthening political engagement, coordination, and cohesion in pursuit of the union’s objectives.
The letter read in part:
“I write on behalf of the Urhobo Progress Union Worldwide, to formally appoint you as the Special Adviser on Political Affairs to the Urhobo Progress Union, Worldwide. By this appointment, you are expected to interface with all political associations on behalf of the Union, Worldwide. Please accept our hearty congratulations.”
The appointment letter was signed by the President General of the Urhobo Progress Union Worldwide, Chief (Barr.) Ese Gam Owe.
Olorogun Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode JP, FCIA, is widely acknowledged as a strategic political leader and bridge builder whose tenure as Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council has continued to earn him respect across party lines. His appointment to this strategic position within the apex socio-cultural organisation of the Urhobo people is widely viewed as a testament to his leadership qualities and capacity to foster unity and effective political collaboration among Urhobo people globally.
The Urhobo Progress Union Worldwide congratulated Olorogun Oyibode on the well-deserved appointment and expressed confidence in his ability to discharge his responsibilities with diligence and distinction.
