Gov. Oborevwori’s N1.664 Trillion 2026 Budget Rekindles Youth Confidence in MORE Agenda — Sagboje

The Chairman of the Delta State Council of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Comr. Odiri Milton Sagboje, CLN has described Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s presentation of a N1.664 trillion Appropriation Bill for 2026 to the State House of Assembly as a bold step that has rekindled hope and restored confidence among youths across Delta State.

Sagboje praised the budget as “a compassionate and visionary document” that directly addresses the needs and aspirations of young people, particularly in areas such as education, job creation, skills empowernment, and enterprise support.
He said the Governor’s fiscal plan reflects a clear understanding of the daily struggles of youths and a commitment to inclusive governance. The emotional responses across the 25 local government areas, Sagboje noted, indicate that young people feel seen, valued, and prioritized. “For many youths, this budget of accelerating the MORE Agenda is more than numbers. It is a lifeline. It reassures us that Governor Oborevwori not only listens but acts decisively to create opportunities for us. It is a new dawn for Delta youths,” he said.

The deputy National Secretary of the Forum of NYCN State Chairmen emphasized that the Appropriation Bill strengthens the bond between government and the youth constituency, noting that the MORE Agenda remains the most practical pathway for economic empowerment, social stability, and political inclusion.

He assured that the NYCN will mobilize its structures to support the implementation of youth-centered programmes captured in the budget, stressing that effective delivery will accelerate growth and uplift vulnerable people. “Delta youths are proud of a Governor who leads with empathy, listens with sincerity, and acts with determination. This budget gives hope, unity, and renewed confidence in our future,” he added.

He urge all young people to remain engaged and supportive of government initiatives, reinforcing that the N1.664 trillion Appropriation Bill is a milestone for Delta State and a defining moment for youth empowerment under the MORE Agenda.
