Oviri-Ogor Agog As Asiuwhu Joins Garden Of Gethsemane Ministry For Annual Harvest Thanksgiving

The Chairman of the Delta State Taskforce on Environment, Chief Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu JP, alongside his wife, Chief Dcns (Mrs.) Omafuvwe Asiuwhu Philo JP, on Sunday, 23rd November 2025, graced the Annual Harvest Thanksgiving of the Garden of Gethsemane Ministry Inc., Oviri-Ogor Branch, Ughelli, Delta State.

The event, hosted by the Pastor in Charge, Hon. Pst Williams Akpibere, was a spirit-filled celebration marked by heartfelt worship, gratitude, and joyous praise as members and guests gathered to appreciate God’s faithfulness, mercies, and divine protection over the church and its families.

In her sermon titled “Praise Him for Reproved Kings for My Sake,” drawn from Psalm 111:1, Pastor Mrs. Charity Ukokpan emphasized the essence of praise as a sincere appreciation to God. She noted that every child of God has countless reasons to give thanks, stressing that life itself is a gift and “by strength shall no man prevail.”

Pastor Akpibere, while speaking during the thanksgiving service, expressed profound gratitude to God for sustaining the church throughout the year. He further appreciated everyone present, including his boss, Chief and Chief (Mrs.) Godspowe Asiuwhu JP++, the Omafuvwe political team, political associates, members of the congregation, and visitors from the ministry’s headquarters led by their Mother in Israel, Pastor Grace Jehwe, for their continuous support and contributions to the growth of the ministry.

The colourful service attracted several notable personalities from government circles, political stakeholders, community leaders, and the President General of Uduophori community, Double Chief Ado ThankGod, Comr. Frank Orogun, Coordinator Delta State Taskforce on Environment, Warri- Uvwie, Udu and Environs, Pastor Ogu Marcus , Oscar Okpokunu, Personal Assistant to the Chairman, Delta State Taskforce on Environment, Ughwumaikpor Emmanuel Don Biggy, Chairman Moses Egbo Avenue, Zone A, Comr Moses Ebenebere, Oniovoghare Prince , Coordinator Delta state Taskforce on environment, Ughelli and Environs Zone and among others.

Special highlights of the thanksgiving included vibrant praise and dance sessions by the men, women, children, and the entire congregation, creating an atmosphere of jubilation and heartfelt appreciation to God Almighty.

The event ended with renewed joy and a shared commitment to continue glorifying God for His unending goodness.
