Eruenah, UPU UK President, Leads Newly Inaugurated Executives in Thanksgiving to God for Electoral Victory

The newly elected President of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), United Kingdom chapter, Chief (Okakuro) Young Aromrefe Eruenah, The Obruche of Udu Kingdom and Urhukpe Oghene of Abraka Kingdoms, alongside his executives, held a Special Thanksgiving Service yesterday Sunday, November 2, 2025, to appreciate God for the success of the recent general elections and the smooth transition of authority to the newly inaugurated executive council.
The colorful event took place at the Covenant Faith Ministries International (CFMI), All Saints Community Centre, Sports Hall, 105 New Cross Road, London SE14 5DJ, and was well attended by Urhobo sons and daughters resident in the United Kingdom, who turned out in their numbers to celebrate the momentous occasion.
The service was officiated by Pastor Emmanuel Usikaro, who delivered an inspiring message titled “The Power of Thanksgiving”, urging leaders to always acknowledge God’s faithfulness in their endeavors and to lead with humility, integrity, and love.
In his remarks, Chief Eruenah an accomplished educationist and respected community leader
expressed profound gratitude to God and to the Urhobo community in the UK for their overwhelming support during the election. He assured the electorate that he would not betray the confidence reposed in him but would work tirelessly in synergy with his executives to actualize his campaign promises.
He further pledged to sustain the vision and mission of the founding fathers of the UPU, emphasizing that the new leadership will prioritize unity, development, and the cultural advancement of Urhobos in the diaspora.
The thanksgiving ceremony was characterized by heartfelt praises, prayers, and a strong display of Urhobo cultural heritage, symbolizing a new dawn for the UPU UK chapter under Chief Eruenah’s visionary leadership.
