APC Delegation Visits Minister Festus Keyamo, Introduces New FMC Ovwian CMD

In a significant show of political solidarity and developmental collaboration, a high-powered delegation led by Olorogun Amb. Henry Voke, Special Adviser to the Minister of Aviation on Political Matters and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Olorogun Barr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, in his Abuja office.

The delegation included Dr. Oritsegbegbemi Maurice Ojo-Ede, Founder of the OMO Foundation and a fellow APC stalwart, and other key stakeholders. The purpose of the visit was to formally introduce Prof. Kingsley Akaba, the newly appointed Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Ovwian, located in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.

During the visit, the Honourable Minister, Olorogun Barr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, warmly received the delegation and expressed his delight at the appointment of Prof. Akaba, noting that strategic leadership in the health sector is essential for sustainable national development. Discussions during the visit centered around critical issues affecting the healthcare delivery system, with particular attention to the needs of Delta State and the broader goals of enhancing medical services across Nigeria.

Olorogun Amb. Henry Voke, in his address, conveyed deep appreciation to the Minister for his warm reception and for his exemplary leadership in steering the affairs of the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development. He applauded the Minister’s visionary reforms and tireless efforts in repositioning Nigeria’s aviation sector to meet global standards.

He also underscored the importance of inter-ministerial and inter-sectoral collaboration in addressing the multifaceted needs of the people, especially in areas such as health and infrastructure. Furthermore, he commended Hon. Keyamo for his steadfast commitment to the development of Delta State and his unwavering support for capable and transformative leadership within the state.

The visit ended on a high note with a reaffirmation of the delegation’s commitment to working with the federal government to bring about positive change, quality healthcare, and good governance for the people of Delta State and Nigeria at large.
