Unity Key to APC’s 2027 Success in Isoko — Ukodhiko Tells Supporters
The Member representing Isoko Federal Constituency, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, has emphasized the importance of unity among leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to secure overwhelming support for the party in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on Sunday during a leadership and integration meeting of the APC, Isoko North Chapter, held at the country home of Chief Isaac Osiobe in Oyede, Hon. Ukodhiko stressed that unity is essential for electoral success.
“We are now one. Seated here are the political gladiators of Isoko North. This shows that, from this moment on, there is no other political party in Isoko except the APC. And we can only demonstrate that through unity of purpose,” he declared.
The federal lawmaker expressed appreciation to the APC LGA Chairman, leaders, and members for warmly welcoming former members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who recently defected, and for supporting their full registration into the party.
He urged APC members to continue backing the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as the MORE Agenda of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
“We must all go out to promote the programmes of both the President and the Governor, and more importantly, unite our people so we can deliver massive votes in the 2027 General Election. That is the only way we can demonstrate the strength of Isoko,” Ukodhiko stated.
He added, “I believe that if all the political gladiators of Isoko unite, there will be no reason why we can’t produce votes that rival other ethnic groups. This will also give us a stronger platform for political negotiations in the future.”
On the development of Isoko, Hon. Ukodhiko encouraged party leaders to prioritize the interests of the Isoko nation. “We must put Isoko first in all that we do. I believe strongly that Isoko will emerge stronger.”
He further acknowledged the Delta State Government’s commitment to Isoko, saying, “At the last Executive Council meeting, numerous infrastructure projects were approved for the Isoko Nation. This shows that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori genuinely loves Isoko. Let us continue to support and pray for him to do more for our people.”
Hon. Ukodhiko also commended the Senator representing the Delta South Senatorial district of Delta South for finding time to grace the occasion despite his busy schedule which shown love and commitment to Isoko and Delta South at large.
In his welcome remarks, Chairman of the APC Isoko North Chapter, Barr. Daniel Emebuno, echoed the theme of unity.
“We are now one political family. Today marks a meeting of integration—we are all one. There is no old APC or new APC; we must be united with a common purpose of developing Isoko land,” he said.
In their goodwill messages, former Secretary to the State Government, Chief Ovuozourie Macaulay, as well as party leaders Chief Isaac Osiobe and Chief Lucky Esigie, described the meeting as a formal step towards political realignment and integration in Isoko North.
Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, representing Delta South Senatorial District, also underscored the importance of unity under a well strucrured purposeful leadership.
Sen. Thomas called for unwavering commitment to the agenda of both the President and the Delta State Governor, and encouraged the people to always stay united for the progress and development of Isoko nation, and the State at large
