2027: Any Move Against Oborevwori Is Anti-Delta – Chief Olori

By Matthias Ogbagah

UGHELLI – The Founder/Leader of Ukodo Nation for Sheriff, Chief Morrison Obaseki Olori, anyone working against the re-election of Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, come 2027, does not mean well for the people of the state.
Chief Olori, an elder statesman and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, made this assertion on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, when members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ughelli Correspondents Chapel, led by its Chairman, Comrade Mathias Ogbagah, paid him a courtesy visit.
According to him, Governor Oborevwori has performed credibly well since his inception in office particularly in the areas of infrastructural development, human capital development, and people-oriented governance.

He noted that the governor’s developmental strides have had a positive impact on communities across the state, including Ughelli.
Chief Olori stated that by 2027, the people of Ughelli would vote overwhelmingly for Governor Oborevwori as a way of expressing gratitude for the landmark projects executed in the area, especially the ongoing Otovwodo Flyover Bridge project, which he described as a game-changer that would ease traffic congestion and boost economic activities.

“Governor Sheriff Oborevwori will have 99% votes in Ughelli North, the only 1%, if at all, will be a void vote; anyone who comes out to contest with him will not have a vote.”

He commended journalists for their pivotal role in society, describing the media as indispensable watchdogs that promote accountability, transparency, and good governance.

He urged media practitioners to continue upholding professionalism and truth in the discharge of their duties.

Speaking further, Chief Olori explained that Ukodo Nation is a pressure group he formed to mobilize grassroots support for Governor Oborevwori ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing that the initiative is driven by a desire to sustain continuity in good governance and development across Delta State.

He reaffirmed his commitment to working with like-minded stakeholders to ensure massive support for the governor, adding that Delta State is on the right path and must not be derailed by selfish political interests.
