2023: Southern Nigerian Youths Support Atiku-Okowa Presidency
Youths across the nine seventeen states on Tuesday in Oshogbo, Osun State endorsed the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for next year’s election.
The youths, under the aegis of SOUTHERN NIGERIANS YOUTH MOVEMENT (SNYM) said that the Atiku-Okowa ticket is the only ticket that could rescue Nigeria from its present myriad of insecurity and economy woes.
According to the youths who stormed Oshogbo in mutulous
crowd numbers, the former vice president, Atiku, and Okowa who is the current governor of Delta State, possess the capacity, requisite knowledge and experience, enviable track records of performance and the political will to deliver Nigeria from insecurity, unemployment, poverty, disunity, economic woes and other challenges, they fumed.
The National Coordinator of the group, Amb. Ochei Kennedy while addressing the enthusiastic youths at the endorsement meeting held in Osun, urged them to go back to their various units and communities with the rescue Nigeria message of the Atiku-Okowa presidential ticket, saying that this ticket is the best way to go for a better and prosperous New Nigeria, he said.
Ochei said SNYM is a formidable social political pressure group that comprised of very articulate young Nigerians with the aim to project, and articulate Atiku-Okowa presidency come 2023.
“Southern Nigerians Youth Movement, SNYM, has braced and taken into cognisance the socio-economic, political will, sound leadership and developmental strides that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Dr Ifeanyi Okowa have brought into governance is worth while.
“We are very confident that Atiku and Okowa is the best bet that have the requisite knowledge, political will, experience and capacity to transform Nigeria from its current state of hopelessness and economic barrenness to our dream country of sustainable peace and security, job and wealth creation, critical infrastructure development and prosperity.
“I want to use this opportunity to call on Nigerian youths across the country, most especially from the southern region to mobilise, support and vote massively for the Atiku-Okowa ticket come 2023,” he urged”.
Ochei said Governor Okowa’s impressive and giant strides performance in the areas of urban renewal, job and wealth creation, health, education, Infrastructures development among others, would be escalated to the federal to curb raging insecurity and massive unemployment if Nigerians elect the duo of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Dr Ifeanyi Okowa come 2023.
The South West National Coordinator, Barr Olumideji Segun also noted that Atiku/ Okowa Presidential ticket is for the betterment of Nigeria youths because of their in-depth genuine intentions to rebuild the nation from its collapse state.
He commended the Delta State Governor and the PDP Vice Presidential Candidate, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for lifting unemployed youths from poverty through the state several entrepreneurship programs in the state.
Other speakers at the official endorsement declaration include Hon Gladys Imachi Effah, Special Duties Director, Amb. Victor Akpabio, South East Executive Officer, Dr Segun Bumi, Special Assistant, Hon. Akarekwe Joel Ejiofor, SSA, Hon Edike Sunday Iserhienrhen (Atiku/Okowa Coordinator -South South Zone and Mrs Mary Femi, SSA Political Matters among others insisted that the PDP presidential ticket remained the most youth friendly ticket in the 2023 race, urging Nigerian youths to support and mobilise for the ticket for a more secured, better, prosperous and assured future.
