Speaking on the thanksgiving theme; “You Cannot See my End,” Onibirorena, who quoted from the book of 1 Samuel 17: 50, said Goliath boasted that he was going to see the end of David, but David prevailed over him.
“Those who said we cannot achieve our aspirations will surely be disappointed like Goliath.” He added.
The man of God also revealed that in the programme preceding the annual thanksgiving service, he preached about Shedrack, Meshak and Abednego, whom God delivered from the hands of their enemies. He cited the Book of Daniel chapter 6 where he posited that Daniel had an excellent spirit, which made the king to love him so much, people from his own household conspired against him, but what they wished Daniel became their Portions.
Speaking with Newsmen shortly after the thanksgiving service, Onobirorena commended the Executive Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for his developmental strides towards transforming the state and for working tirelessly in order to keep the state together up till this time.
He also thanked the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Hon Chief Jite Brown for the enormous development recorded in UDU LGA, and for his pivotal role at ensuring peace reigns in Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh Communities.
Speaking further, he revealed that he was not surprised when the immediate past President of Aladja Community, Chief Otto Ogbiruvetta named a street after him.
The clergyman appealed to Delta State Governor through the office of the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council to include his Church road in any of the state projects. According him, the road is in a sorry State.
As the cross-over night approaches, Gen Onobirorena also appealed for adjustment of the curfew in Aladja community to enable Christians in Aladja observe the new year in the house of God.
The man of God prayed for peace to return to the Aladja and Igbe-Ijoh communities on the boundary demarcation which recently started.
According to him, peaceful co-existence is a panacea to sustainable development. He appealed that the demarcation be done appropriately.
The service was spiced up with drama, praise, among other activities.
