A deep spiritual crisis is consuming the ancient community of Otibio-Owhe in Isoko North Local Government Area, following the sudden disappearance of a young man chosen by tradition to serve as the next high priest of their revered deity.

The deity, known as ỌGHWẸVWI-OTIBIO, is worshipped as the guardian of the land, water, and harvest. But since the death of its last chief priest Pa Avwoke four months ago, chaos has slowly overtaken the land — all linked to one man: OBODO, Oghenekaro Rex, a devout Christian and only son of the Obodo family.

❌ The Boy Who Said No

Following traditional divination, the gods declared that Rex — by bloodline and destiny — must step in as the next custodian of Ọghwẹvwi-Otibio. However, Rex rejected the call, stating publicly:

“I cannot serve a deity. I belong to Jesus Christ. I will not bow.”

His refusal sparked outrage among village elders and shrine custodians. At first, there was shock — then fear. Because shortly after his refusal, the unthinkable began.

🌊 The Curse Unleashed

The sacred Ughene River dried up without warning.

Crops withered overnight.

Goats, chickens, and dogs dropped dead in strange numbers.

An illness no one could name began spreading through the village.

Deaths followed — swift and unexplainable.

In response, the Otibio-Owhe Council of Elders intensified spiritual consultations across the Isoko region. All revelations confirmed the same truth:

“Until Rex answers the gods or his blood returns to the land, Otibio-Owhe will know no peace.”

The village issued a final warning, giving Rex three days to return and perform the rites.

On the second night, he disappeared.

👻 Vanished Without a Trace

Rex’s family home now stands silent and abandoned.
His parents, siblings — all vanished. Neighbors claimed to have seen “strange shadows” leaving the compound in the early hours, but none dared investigate. Phone lines went dead. Every trace of the Obodo family wiped clean.

Now, the community has declared him WANTED — DEAD OR ALIVE.
Shrine custodians say even his blood must be brought back, should he be found lifeless, for the gods to be pacified.

A chilling warning was issued by the chief diviner:

“Ọghenekaro Rex is the chosen vessel. He must return. And if he will not walk, he will be dragged.”

🔮 Who is Ọghwẹvwi-Otibio?

Ọghwẹvwi-Otibio is believed to be a river and fertility spirit, guardian of life and nature in Otibio-Owhe. Legends say it rejects disobedience, and punishes generations that attempt to break its covenant. No chief priest has ever refused the calling — until now.

⚠️ Community on Edge

The village now lives in fear. Red cloths and cursed effigies line the footpaths. No weddings, no festivals — only mourning and ritual. Markets have gone quiet. Elders have warned that anyone found harboring Rex or helping his family may face the same wrath.

Spiritual emissaries from Delta, Bayelsa, and Edo States have been recruited to help locate him through traditional means.

📢 Public Notice

Anyone with knowledge of Rex Obodo’s location is strongly advised to contact the Otibio-Owhe Traditional Council or the shrine of Ọghwẹvwi-Otibio immediately.
His blood is now the price of peace.
